You can use SSE Assets Optimizer to convert all those textures to the new format if you wish (personally i can't due to broken VisualC++ 2017 blocking me from installing the 2015 pack. Personally i use quite a few oldrim textures, and the fps drop is around 3-5 FPS, depending on locations. SSE uses BC7 compression, and uncompressed textures may cause your FPS to drop (depending on the amount you use). The only issue is that they use old compression format.
